About Fast Proxy Reviews & How We Rate Providers
We're an independent proxy speed lab built to cut through marketing. Here's who we are, what we believe about proxy speed and value, and exactly how we score the providers we review.
Why we exist
Shopping for fast proxies is harder than it should be. Every provider claims to be the fastest, most reliable and best value, and it's almost impossible to compare them on the things that actually matter. Fast Proxy Reviews exists to fix that — by approaching proxy reviews like a benchmark lab rather than a sales page. Our goal is simple: help you find fast, reliable, affordable proxies that fit your workload, whether that's web scraping, SEO tools, automation, market research or account management.
What we believe about speed
We believe three things shape every honest proxy recommendation:
- Speed is contextual. The fastest proxy for one target can be the slowest for another. We never pretend a single number applies to everyone.
- Success rate is part of speed. A proxy that gets blocked is slow once you count the retries, so effective speed matters more than best-case latency.
- Value beats both price and raw speed. The right plan delivers the performance you need at a price you're happy with — and that's what we optimise for.
How we review providers
Our ratings are qualitative and editorial. We deliberately avoid publishing exact speed, uptime, latency, bandwidth or location figures, because those numbers depend on your plan, targets and timing — and quoting them would be misleading. Instead, we weigh each provider across consistent dimensions:
- Speed focus — how the provider positions and provisions its network for performance.
- Proxy-type coverage — residential, ISP, IPv4, mobile and datacenter options.
- Value for money — performance relative to price, weighted heavily in our scoring.
- Ease of use — dashboards, setup and how approachable the service is.
- Suitability — which users and use cases each provider fits best.
We then translate those judgements into clear, label-based positioning — for example "Top Speed-Focused Value Pick", "Strong Enterprise Alternative" or "Budget-Friendly Option" — so you can see at a glance where each provider fits. You can read the full comparison on our proxy speed comparison table and individual provider reviews.
No matter how a provider scores, benchmark the exact plan on your own targets before relying on it for critical workloads. Our reviews are a shortlist-builder, not a substitute for testing.
How we stay fair
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission if you purchase through them — at no extra cost to you. This funding lets us keep the site free, but it never changes our editorial opinions. We present every provider fairly, we clearly mark our featured value pick, and we describe limitations as openly as strengths. You can read the full details in our privacy policy and disclosure.
About our featured pick
Across our comparisons we highlight Cheapest Proxies as our featured value-focused option. It's positioned for buyers comparing affordable, fast proxy access across multiple proxy categories, and we think it's a strong starting point for value-conscious users. As with every provider on the site, we present it as a value option rather than a guarantee of specific performance, and we encourage you to verify the exact plan for your needs.
